HTC grabbed some headlines today, for its upcoming Butterfly S coming on June 19 along with Desire 600. Now, the company has again made it to the news with the leak of the first images of Windows Phone 8 based HTC Tiara.
Well, according to the official image leak by Techaloud, the design of the HTC Tiara is quite similar to the One SV and its specifications seem to lie somewhere between Windows Phone 8 based HTC 8X and 8S.
Back in February, the rumors of Tiara came up speculating that the smartphone will be one of the first devices to come with Windows 8 GDR2, the second major overhaul of the platform after the Portico update.
The reports also leaked the specifications of the HTC Tiara suggesting that handset might boast a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 4.3-inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels and 1GB RAM. Also, the smartphone is rumored to come with 8GB internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.6-megapixel front camera and a 1,800 mAh battery.
Further, on Monday, Sprint, U.S. mobile carrier announced that it will deliver at least one smartphone or tablet that will run on Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 platform later this year, where they also promised that the first batch of Windows Phone handsets would arrive from the likes of Samsung and HTC.
Of course, these smartphones ought to be Samsung Ativ S and HTC Tiara, where the latter is subjected to change as a handset known as HTC PO88100 has just passed through the FCC with flying colors, and to see it feature CDMA and Sprint-specific LTE connectivity.
HTC Tiara was earlier tipped for a mid-May launch, but it has delayed for a while due to the hard promotion of the HTC One, the flagship smartphone. As of now, there is no official word on the release date of the HTC Tiara, but the smartphone is rumored to be launched by the end of the month.
